Amy Gross was introduced to her love of dance and music at the age of four, starting with ballet and piano lessons. She was reading music before she could even read a book. Throughout her education and into college she continued with dance training in various genres including ballet, jazz, lyrical and hip hop and was competitive throughout high school on a dance team and in many musical competitions. Upon receiving her B.S. in Business Administration, she found herself in a different professional career, newly married and soon starting a family. After moving to Lake Arrowhead to raise her family, her passion for both was quickly reignited when her oldest daughter began taking ballet under Sharon McCormick at the Lake Arrowhead School of Dance. She herself then began taking classes in the Adult Tap program offered by former LASD teacher and friend, Shawna McCartney. She soon realized that dance and music were still great passions that she enjoyed, not only in sharing with her children, but also with other young children. Privileged to have been given an opportunity to share her love of both, Amy is now happily teaching Music & Rhythm and beginning ballet, tap and jazz, hoping she can inspire the young students of LASD into a lifelong love and appreciation of dance too!
